03/1978 - 10/1978 I was a visiting astronomer and chief of the observing site in Patakamaya (Bolivia) during a dedicated expedition of Academy of Sciences of the USSR for studying low-orbit (atmosphere) satelites.
I was a Chairman of the Seismology sessions of the 1998 and 1999 International Workshops in Nauchny, (Crimea, Ukraine) and the invited speaker at the same meetings.
I worked as an Engineering expert and developer for modernization of a Coelostat Solar Telescope at Helwan Solar Observatory (Egypt) during two short (two weeks each) visits of the Helwan Observatory in 1998 and 1999.
I worked as a NST Project Engineer. My duties were development of telescope off-axis design, specifications for optical and mechanical components, active primary mirror and its support, secondary mirror, mirror support structures, determination of thermal distortions of the telescope and mirrors, NST alignment, adaptive optics for the NST.
I was a member of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2002 ``Local and Global Seismology: the Present and Future'' Conference in Big Bear, CA, USA.
